Did you say 24 hours? I sure did. From 1:00 pm on Saturday August 28th until 1:00 pm on Sunday August 29th you are invited to come and take party in Blue's "End of Forever" celebration. Of course, if you don't think you can handle an entire 24 hours of fun you are more than welcome to just drop in.
What's going on? Well, when people show up on the Saturday, there will be cold cuts, buns, salads and drinks laid out for people to nibble on. Throughout the afternoon I hope to see some games of Ultimate, a water fight, some hiking and more going on. As the evening approaches, we'll gather around the campfire to some good music and dancing. Fresh corn on the cob will be available out of the big black kettle over the fire and other roast menu items will be available. (Vegetarians don't worry, I haven't forgotten you either.) Dancing and drinking will eventually give way to relaxing and stargazing in the clear country sky. Those who are staying, are encouraged to bring tents. Some interior space will be available but it will be at a premium. The next morning people will wake to a BBQ breakfast of toasted English muffins, cheese, fruit, eggs, back bacon and orange juice. Finally it will be time to relax one last time before we go our separate ways.
What do I need to do to get in on this amazing event? Let me know you're coming and then show up.
What do I need to bring? Bringing yourself is the most important part. A change of clothes, a tent, suntan lotion, and all the other things like that you might need would be a good idea as well. I'd really appreciate it if those intending to eat brought a cash contribution to help cover the cost of the meals. BYOB if you prefer something unusual, otherwise, I suggest you bring cash and we go on a "pop" run into town so we can avoid a lot of overlap. Anything else? Come prepared to have fun.
